Technical orientation conducted on provincial government websites of Karnali Province

Two days technical training and orientation on website has been provided to officials of provincial government entities under Karnali province on 8-9 May 2019 at Birendranagar, Surkhet. The orientation program was conducted on request of the Office of Chief Minister and Council of Ministers (OCMCM) and in coordination with Provincial Coordination Unit (PSU), Karnali Province, led by PSU coordinator Mr. Birendra Parajuli and UNV ICT Expert Panch Dev Bhatta. A total of 26 participants from various ministries and offices under Karnali province participated in the training program.

 

 

Purpose of the training was to provide a general overview of website development, relevant acts and policies, technical details of their respective websites and hands-on training on operation of website content management, content update, reporting and other administrative actions. Orientation program was started with general overview by Mr. Nagesh Badu (e-Governance Specialist) followed by opening remarks by Birendra Parajuli (Provincial Coordinator). Technical session of the program was facilitated by National UNV Mr. Apurwa Singh (ICT Coordinator), Mr. Panch Dev Bhatta (ICT Expert, Karnali Province), Mr. Avilash Chakrawarti (ICT Expert, Province 5) and Mr. Bikram Khatiwada (UNV Program Coordinator).

 

Two way interaction and practical based approach was adopted during the whole session of the training and feedback was collected from all the ministries and province offices. At end, post-training assessment was performed and participants found the training useful and expected the same support in upcoming days in ICT sector and website management.
